Your responsibilities
For our new public affairs team, we are looking for a Policy undamp; Funding Manager to oversee our work on policy issues and funding opportunities. Reporting to the Head of Public Affairs, you serve as an internal consultant for our business and management team, as well as a contact person for external stakeholders.
- In close cooperation with the global public affairs team and other internal stakeholders, you identify and prioritize relevant policy issues and funding opportunities on the EU and key member state levels.
- You develop positions and execute thyssenkrupp nucera’s engagement strategies for these policy issues.
- You advise our business and management teams on how to best leverage public funding opportunities.
- You help our teams coordinate public funding application processes by serving as a consultant and contact person for successful application management, you also manage the public affairs team’s service providers.
- You cooperate with policy stakeholders in our markets and represent thyssenkrupp nucera in industry associations.
Your profile
- You have proven experience in managing legislative and regulatory processes, experience in working with political interest groups is an advantage.
- You understand how political processes work in the EU as well as in Germany, which stakeholders matter and how to successfully engage with them; experience in additional member states is a plus.
- You have a deep understanding of the hydrogen sector and its regulatory and stakeholder landscape, coupled with a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
- You have completed your studies in law or a comparable field; at least basic legal training is a must.
- In your previous roles, you have developed and executed successful policy and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- You have a proven track record of cooperating cross-functionally, relying on your strong ability to translate between technical experts, business leaders and policy makers.
- You have a resilient network in politics, regulatory authorities, and industry (EU/DE/others).
- You are fluent in English and German; further language skills are a plus.
