Dr. Alexander M. Ernst is a business and IT architect with 15+ years of experience. Areas of expertise are centered around methods, models, visualizations, and tools for managing Enterprise Architectures. He holds a Master of Science in Informatics from Technische Universität München (TUM) since 2004 and then joined TUM as a research assistant from 2005 until 2009 In May 2010 he finished his Ph.D. on A Pattern-based Approach for Enterprise Architecture Management He joined Credit Suisse’s Group CTO organization as a Senior IT Architect in 2010. Mid of 2011 he switched to a Business Architect role in the global Business Architecture team. Mid of 2013 he became the Head of Complexity and Analytics team. In 2016 he joined UBS as the Head of Architecture Measurement. Since beginning of 2020 he holds the role Head of Application Directory, UBS’s central applications inventory.
