Alexis Oropeza is a Senior System Analyst aligned to the Products team in ASG, mostly focused on the delivery of SAP - SCM – Fulfillment solutions. He has 9 years of relevant industry experience especially in Crude Oil Refining, Chemicals, Consumer Goods & Services. Focus areas have been IT consulting in SAP WM-IM-SFC, Process Engineering and industrial consulting in Distributed Control Systems.

It was a temporary job I took on in the meantime to prepare my movement to Mexico. In this job I worked as a sales representative for a pharmaceutical lab. I had to cover the central region of the country realizing 280 contacts monthly in average, in 5 cities and 3 states. This employer is located in Caracas, Venezuela.

As an applications engineer within the tech consultant staff my main tasks were: *Architecture validations (HW and SW) of the Proprietary Distributed Control System Solutions including integration with third party control system providers. *Configuration of process control applications for industrial purposes including the Service Oriented Architecture Solutions for SCADA systems "Infusion and Wonderware ArchestrA". *Functional Technical Requirement documentation for systems upgrades or migrations.

In this job, I worked as a process engineer within the distillation and specialties department of the "Paraguaná Refining Center". My customers were the people from the operations management. I used to give them tech support on the process units performance based on the use of specific knowledge from the world of the Chemical Engineering. My day to day work, 80% involved in process plants Problems-Solving comprised as well:Operational follow up, Conceptual and basic engineering, Use of design practices.
