Andre Belelieu

Head up international expansion of the US Private Client Group (PCG) franchise reporting to the Worldwide Vice President. Responsible for developing global expansion strategies, conducting market risk evaluations, authoring business plans, and overseeing the implementation of new offices globally, including in France, Germany, Israel, Japan, and Switzerland.

Managed AIG’s regulatory and legislative position at the international and federal levels, directed corporate policy on key industry issues and evaluated the success of global initiatives as a senior member of a team reporting directly to the CEO. Wrote policy speeches and briefing materials for senior executives, including the CEO, and represented AIG in political/trade associations and external events featuring heads-of-state, government regulators, and international business leaders.

Had responsibility for all operational aspects of the organization, including management of the TABD policy agenda to reflect priority issues of member companies, lobbying government officials to enact TABD priority issues, and organizing annual meetings attended by the Executive Board and senior US and European government officials.

Acted as Director of the Canada Project, reporting to the Director of the Americas Program. Set research agenda, led fundraising efforts, supervised junior staff, and developed relationships with officials in Washington and Canada. Organized policy conferences and private meetings to raise program’s profile in Washington, and advocated for program’s policy agenda on Capitol Hill.
