During my PhD I investigated antimony-based buffer layers grown by metal organic vapour phase epitaxy onto (001) silicon substrate using (scanning) transmission electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy and high-resolution x-ray diffraction.

Diploma thesis about the synthesis and functionalization of silica and biodegradable microcapsules that were incorporated into cells and investigated by confocal fluorescence microscopy.
