Leading BI’s New Chemical Entities launch & key-production network consisting of nine mfg & dev sites in Germany, USA, Italy, Spain, France & China with > 5400 employees. Responsible for scale-up, launch and production of all new DS and DP for BI’s PM business & clinical DS supplies. P&L-responsible for BI’s DS & DP CMO business, responsible for the manufacturing of BI’s $ 550 Mio US-generics business (Roxane Laboratories). Cost budget: > € 900 Mio/a Capex Budget: > € 200 Mio/a Reporting to the BMD

Leading BI’s global chemical network consisting of 6 mfg & dev sites in Germany, USA, Italy, Spain, France & China with 2500 employees and a cost budget of € 400 Mio/a . Responsible for scale-up, launch and production of all APIs for BI’s PM products and clinical API supplies as well as for API & CMO business (Pharma/Fine Chemicals business). Reporting to the BMD.

Leading BI’s US API manufacturing site with 450 employees in Petersburg/VA. Close interaction with FDA and DEA (biggest domestic producer of controlled substances e.g. Amphetamines, Methadone, Methylphenidate). Responsible for $ 150 Mio capacity expansion and organizational and process readiness. Reporting to the Corporate Senior Vice President/Corporate Division Chemicals and serving on BI's US country management team.

P&L responsibility for BI’s external API & CMO business with pharmaceutical customers. Responsible for two manufacturing sites (Ingelheim, Germany & Bordeaux, France), process development laboratories, quality and global sales and 300 employees and € 180 Mio sales/a. Reporting to the Senior Vice President Chemicals/Germany while serving on the German and Global Chemical Leadership Team.

Newly created global function leading the capital project and process engineering research activities across Huber Engineered Materials ($ 600M revenue/$ 45M capex) and Huber Engineered Woods ($ 400M/$ 50M). Dual reporting to the President of HEM, located in Atlanta, GA, USA and the President of HEW, located in Charlotte, NC, USA.

P&L responsibility for Huber Engineered Materials' (HEM) European silica, silicates and precipitated Calcium Carbonate € 115 Mio business with the paper, consumer and industrial industry. Leading > 300 employees in ten highly automated plants in six European countries and reporting to the President of HEM, located in Atlanta/USA while serving on HEM Leadership Team.

Responsible for the successful SAP ERP implementation in Honeywell's Division Fluorine Products, a $ 600M global business and its five US plants. Reporting to the VP & GM Fluorine Products and serving on the FP leadership team based in Honeywell’s headquarter in Morristown, NJ, USA.

Developed Fluorine Products 2005 Strategic Business Plan through close coordination with business leaders, defined FP’s e-business plan in close cooperation with Allied Signal's Specialty Chemicals sector. Reporting to the VP of Marketing Specialty Chemicals, VP of e-business Specialty Chemicals, VP & GM Fluorine Products and serving on the FP leadership team based in Honeywell’s headquarter in Morristown, NJ, USA.

P&L for a $ 170M organic and inorganic industrial performance chemicals business, consisting of 6 market units and > 1000 products from AlliedSignal plants in Germany, Ireland and the USA (> 100 co-workers incl. 10 PhDs & 8 labs) Change management of global sales, marketing and R&D functions, redefining business processes, driving profitability through revenue growth, innovation, strict cost management, strategy & business ownership of M&A activities. Reporting to the VP & GM Chemical Specialties.

In addition to current Riedel de Haen business and operational obligations new responsibility for global R&D coordination within AlliedSignal’s Specialty Chemical division as part of the overall change management and AlliedSignal/Riedel de Haen post acquisition integration process. Reporting to the VP Business Development Specialty Chemicals Division.

Responsible for the technical side of a highly specialized and innovation driven performance chemicals business covering production of organic and inorganic luminescent (Lumilux) pigments and dyes, R&D, quality assurance, technical marketing & services. > 300 products were produced by 60 people in (24x7) production, 3 R&D- and 1 quality lab for high end applications in the electronic-, plastic-, film-, specialty coating-, medical-, and printing industry. Reporting to the BMD of Riedel de Haen AG.

24x7 production of >100 organic fine chemicals/a (intermediates for photodyes, agro- & pharma-intermediates, organic luminescent pigments and dyes, formulated biocides) by using hazardous chemicals (elemental Bromine, Chlorine, Ammonia, Hydrofluoric Acid, aromatic amines etc.). Transfer from lab to production of >25 new products/a. Leading a young plant/shift organization of 25 technicians. Reporting to the Department Head, Production and R&D Organic Chemicals.

Leading the R&D laboratory of the department Organic Chemicals responsible for researching new products, processes and optimization of already existing production processes with respect to cost, quality, performance, safety and environment. Reporting to the Department Head, Production and R&D Organic Chemicals.
