Prepares SOLAR photovoltaic design, construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and contract documents. Coordinates inputs from relevant Bank units and external firms. Administratively oversees contractual and commercial vendor staff, which includes overseeing their timely delivery of goods and services. Monitors the project management schedules, identifies issues and advises the Project Manager on corrective action needed.

Facilitating the planning, implementation and monitoring of renewable energy market development processes which included off-grid renewable energy. Assist in the formulation of renewable energy private sector policy recommendations to optimise their economic value. Coordinated the market development and dissemination of renewable energy technology IN Ethiopia.

Conducted base line solar energy assessment for disseminating lanterns in Somalia refugee region. Organized and conduct Barefoot solar technical training for refugee communities. Developed strategies to promote the use of solar energy and trained 40 barefoot engineers. Prepared a solar system training manual. Developed approximately ten solar business models such as a solar barber, solar chargers etc.

Improved the business environment for the private renewable energy sector by working with relevant companies, institutions, NGOs, consultants and universities. Cooperated with the public sector on federal and regional level in supporting private enterprises and rural communities to improve the energy supply. Facilitated the access of communities and private enterprises to credit lines. Supported the regional Energy Coordination Office in promoting local enterprises and cooperatives.

Assessed the need of solar equipment, parts, spare parts and technical specifications of defective off-grid Solar Home System (SHS) to ensure smooth operations in 17 villages and one Barefoot Solar Training Centre. In total more than 5000 house hold re electrified. Also developed training strategy and manual for Barefoot Training centre (UNDP, 2010).

European Union Energy Facility (EUEF) founded project. Coordinated, planed, implemented, and monitored the community managed solar electrification and Watsan project in the Jimma intervention area. Delivered capacity building activities on renewable energy and environment protection for the community, local and regional governments. Created networking opportunities for stakeholders, NGOs and government energy related offices (Plan International, 2008-11).
