We have successfully built a secure, robust & highly available mobile payment system. As part of a small software development team, lead by a world class software architect, Werner Wild, we implemented the whole system in 7 months. I was responsible in conceptualisation and implementation of customer registration for our mobile payment service. The system involves numerous web service calls to a 3rd party financial service institute that checks credit rating for each customer.

Implemented a web image gallery where users type a word. I used yahoo pipes for the backbone of the application, where the word was sent to wiktionary, parsed 5 closest synonyms. These words are then sent to Flickr where each word is searched through their database and collected top 10 images for each word. The collections of 50 images are visualized to the client in image gallery as a final result.

Professor Gamper and his team at Database Information System (DIS) were working on Temporal and Spatial Data. The aim of the research was to find the geo-graphical shortest path starting at a specified time and where the distance depends on the availability and speed of public transportation. Completed implementation of the algorithm in C based on the paper published by the team in EDBT 2006, under the title of Multi-dimensional aggregation for temporal data.

South Tyrol has the highest density of castles in Europe. The department is responsible for documenting and maintaining all cultural heritage sites in the province of South Tyrol. The requirement was to create an Oracle application and digitize all the archived data. Worked in a group of 6 people and completed the entire project 2 weeks before the planned date.

PROM (PRO Metrics) was a project undertaken by Free University of Bolzano for automatically collecting data relevant to measuring software development process. The scope of my thesis was to analyze, interpret and visualize the data. Activities: Pruned the data, passed the data through 3 different variants of apriori algorithm and the results were plotted as a 3D graph, which allowed the decision makers to see associativity in the data.

Analysed Software metrics data of software developers using a software developed at the University of Alberta that was based upon the research work of Professor Witold Pedrycz on Fuzzy Neural Networks and genetic algorithms.
