Temporary employment to produce the management accounts for year-end and assist them with getting back on track. Responsibilities were to close month and year-end, download and compare trial Balances, post accruals and prepayments, update fixed assets, produce the management accounts and balance sheet, reconciliation of accounts, assisting auditors and HR/ Payroll clerk.

Responsible for monthly reporting preparing financial Reconciliations for the bank, accounts payable and receivable. Preparing Accruals and Prepayments at month end, analysing variances. Providing Intrastat, applying for double taxation certificates and EC Sales information to HMRC,. Raising invoices, making sure all intercompany invoices were to be paid, these would usually equate to 1.5 million a month, raising debtor recharge invoices, reporting fixed asset costs and any Ad-Hoc work.

In Paxton Access I was on the Purchasing team to gain experience in a new area of a business. My role as Junior buyer was to place new orders of stock for a competitive price, to keep the stock levels at the desired manufacturing usage level. My other responsibilities were to take stock checks and chase suppliers for late deliveries.

Month and quarter end were carrying out reconciliations on the bank and General ledger accounts. Cash flow forecast each month and dealt with the petty cash by checking or providing assistance to all staff at offices with a petty cash tin. • Assisting the Financial Controller with any Ad-Hoc work.
