Development and operation of a datawarehouse infrastructure (Oracle, PL/SQL) and various reporting applications (Hyperion Planning, Hyperion, Analyzer, Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Reports, OLAP)

Responsible for the development of a datawarehouse application (Oracle, PL/SQL) including a interface infrastructure to define, steer and monitor interfaces and their operation (MS Access, Informatica PowerCenter, Oracle, DB2, TWS, Cobol)
Team leader (4 to 5 team members) and deputy of the unit leader of the software development support unit with 10 to 12 members. Responsible for various develoment tools and systems.
Various tasks incl. project lead in the area of software development support. Evaluation of develpment tools and methods (Microfocus Cobol Workbench, ADW, XPEDITER, CASE, SASD, etc), migration of tool and language versions (COBOL -> COBOL II, Delta Release upgrades)
Development of a transaction driver to support development and operation of IMS/DC applications. Update of the whole environment from originally IMS/DB based application to a DB2 based application. Was in use for some 30 main online applications having a load of several 10'000 transactions a day. Still in use.
Responsible for the internal education of junior application engineers. Development and maintenance of internal courses and respective documentation (delta/Cobol, IMS/DC, IMS/DB, structured programming, Micro Focus Cobol WB, batch-programming).
External and internal education as application engineer. First steps in application design and development.
