Development of web applications utilizing Ruby on Rails Framework and Postgres. Main project consisted of a web-based application for categorical advertisement placement. Designed the database schema for the applications and implemented the interface and its functionality.

Project manager and lead developer in all cycles of software development for assigned projects. Several projects include web scrapping of over 400 URLs using .NET in combination with IE and iMacros, back-end and front-end development of .NET and ASP.NET database-driven applications, database design and management, including, but not limited to, defining and building tables, relationships, normalizations and stored procedures.

Conducted research on Web Semantics and the Resource Data Framework (RDF). Main project consisted of developing a new tool which converts an RSS feed to a specific XML document structure that Protégé, an ontology software, would process accordingly.

Responsibilities included implementing defined algorithms for Master and Ph.D. students’ using MATLAB. Main project consisted of developing a MATLAB application based on a thermocline modeling algorithm. The application incorporated the usage of MATLAB’s graphics objects.

Development of over 50 distance learning courses offered over Blackboard, a virtual learning platform. Tasks at hand included incorporating interactions and animations to course modules with the use of Flash and Javascript with the intent of creating them lively and engaging.
