IfM provides consultancy and executive education based on the new ideas and approaches developed at the IfM to help manufacturing and technology-intensive companies around the world create and capture value more effectively. My role includes coaching and guidance of small and medium sized enterprises, multi-nationals and governments/policy makers during technology landscaping exercises and technology/business strategy planning, roadmapping, and portfolio management.

Research with focus on strategic technology management and the close link between technological competence and corporate strategy. Particular interest lied in the application of roadmapping, portfolio management approaches, and associated tools. The research was carried out in close cooperation with leading manufacturers in Europe, Middle East and Asia.

Organisation-wide responsibility and coordination of the following competence centres: Requirements Management, Innovation Management, Functional Safety, Complexity Management, and Product Cost Optimization. Acquisition of new team members and expansion of the network. Driving of knowledge exchange through conferences, newsletters and presentations.

Manager of the Competence Centre "Requirements Management": Development of new consulting offers/products, methods and processes. Coordination of group activities with the head of the R&D network and knowledge exchange with other expert teams. Multi-industry consulting projects in Aerospace & Defence and Automotive sectors (focussing on e-mobility, green propulsion), advising clients on R&D management approaches, process optimization and change management.

Product Change Control for sensors and actuators within an aerospace engine programme, including participation in the Product Change Board. Requirements Management in liaison with customers and suppliers, and responsibility for the configuration and roll-out of a new requirements management software solution.
