000 years. We have plundered the earth of its resourcers at an increasing rate since the beginning of the industrial revolution in the 1850's. So in 160 years we have done more to make the earth uninhabitable and stripped of its resources than in the past 8

500 years. Can you get how stupid that is? We have only about 50 years of oil left by the highest estimates. There is no other planet that we know of with oil....there is no sign of life found anywhere else in this solar system....oil comes from decomposed once living organisms....plants and animals

neither of which can develop without the other. The closest star (another possible sun for another possible solar sytem) is 4.2 light years away. Where do you think your future children's children will get their resources if we use them all up foolishly? We have to become shepards of the earth or the babies won't be able to be saved. Mother's milk is already tainted. Have you checked that reality yet? And you say "What can I do about it?" Well

you can be wiser about your purchases as a starter. Stop buying all the processed crap. Watch www.storyofstuff.com/index.html and then stop believing it is up to Obama or somebody to help. It is entirely up to you. You cast the economic vote with every dollar you spend. What are you spending your dollars on? Have you bought an electric hot water heater? Have you bought solar panels? Have you bought an electric car or had an existing car converted to electric? Have you switched to buying genuine organic food? Have you written to any legislators demanding accountability for the destruction of the rain forests

or over fishing the oceans
