• Performing transfections of different cell lines with subsequent characterization o Visual characterization of stained cells with the HCI system CQ1 from Yokogawa o Biochemical analysis performed via SDS-PAGE and Western blot o Molecular analysis performed via qPCR • Developing cell-based assays with transfected cells based on project needs • Screening the activity of ion channels via calcium flux over time (FDSS7000EX, Hamamatsu Photonics and FLIPR Tetra, Molecular Devices)

• Handling and working with several primary cell types and models, e.g. hepatocytes and macrophages • Developing of differentiation assays using human-induced pluripotent stem cells in order to assess potential teratogenic effects of compounds • Carrying out stainings of living and fixed cells (different dyes and immunofluorescence) with subsequent quantification via high content imaging (Arrayscan XTI, Thermofisher) • Performing protein analysis via BCA assay, SDS PAGE and Western Blot
