Berufserfahrung von Francesco Scaravaggi

  • Bis heute 1 Jahr und 10 Monate, seit Sep. 2022

    Field Process Engineer

    Lam Research

  • 5 Jahre und 7 Monate, Aug. 2016 - Feb. 2022

    Researcher in Experimental Physics (PhD)

Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research (IFW), Dresden

    • Expertise in thermodynamic measurements led to in-depth understanding of the phase diagram of paradigmatic high-temperature superconductors. • Analysis, presentation, and discussion of scientific data that led to more than 10 scientific publications. • Technical responsible for the commercial equipment PPMS (by Quantum Design Ltd.) for the thermodynamic laboratories. • Proficiency in handling of cryogenic fluids, vacuum technologies, and high magnetic fields for low temperature measurements.

  • 8 Monate, Okt. 2014 - Mai 2015

Researcher in Experimental Physics (Master thesis)

Italian Insitute of technology (IIT) at Politecnico di milano

    • Electrical characterization of organic semiconductors for thermoelectric applications. • Doping and deposition of organic conductive materials in a clean room environment. • Optimization of doping concentration led to improved electrical conductivity of state-of-the-art n-type conductive polymers.

Ausbildung von Francesco Scaravaggi

  • 5 Jahre und 7 Monate, Aug. 2016 - Feb. 2022

    PhD in Experimental Physics

    Technical University of Dresden

Thesis: Electronic correlations and nematicity in 122 and 1111 Iron-based superconductors The project deals with the origin of high-temperature superconductivity in Fe-based compounds by use of thermodynamic methods, focusing on: (i) The relationship between structural and electronic properties and their role in promoting superconductivity; (ii) Tracing the phase diagram of the paradigmatic LaFeAsO compound to clarify the interplay between the “nematic”/magnetic and the superconducting phases.
