• Design, synthesis and high throughput screening (HTS) of macrocyclic peptide/peptoid libraries against target proteins to discover high affinity ligands. • Hands on experience of using automated solid-phase synthesizer and ECHO acoustic dispenser for HTS of combinatorial libraries. • Bacterial cell culture for expression and purification of recombinant MDM2 protein. • Structure based molecule design, screening, hit identification, validation and lead optimization.

• Our goal was to develop novel synthetic molecules (peptides/peptoids) that can modulate cellular signaling pathways with an emphasis on protein-protein interactions (PPIs). • Development of peptoid foldamers and structural studies by NMR, CD or X-ray crystallography. • Solid-phase method development to construct Peptide Nucleic Acid (PNA) encoded libraries towards drug discovery. • Synthesis of peptide/small molecule based ‘Proteolysis Targeting Chimeras (PROTACs) as novel therapeutics.

Early Drug Discovery Research (Medicinal Chemistry): • Design, synthesis and optimization of analogues to support lead generation in drug discovery. • Design and synthesis building blocks/key intermediates/scaffolds for focused libraries. • Multi-step synthesis from mg to gm scales, purification and characterization of molecules.
