This assignment involves analysing the financial, product and customer databases of two companies who are planning to merge their operations. The key deliverables are an integrated data hub, an assessment of overall data quality levels and a road map for merging all corresponding data.

This assignment involved creating a new data hub that could provide a single source for all credit and market risk information. My key deliverables were to create the logical and physical data models for the new data hub and to define the SOA data services for migrating legacy data into the new database.

The goal of this project was to create an integrated data hub which, by combining financial trade data with corresponding reference data (SWIFT, Reuters), would allow the client to identify patterns in the trading of financial instruments. Data were loaded using a metadata based repository to generate standardised (SOA) data services.

This assignment involved analysing an online holiday booking system and suggesting ways in which its performance could be improved.

Matrix Data is a niche IT consultancy which specialises in data quality issues and I was engaged to work on a number of Oracle based projects.
