Dr. George Violettas

I am an Internet of Things (IoT) & IoT security engineer/academician with over 25 years of professional experience. You can find my personal webpage here. I am currently an R&T Engineer & Project Manager with SYSGO GmbH, Frankfurt, Germany. In the past, I was an Assistant Professor at Alfaisal University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Before that, I was the Head of the ICT Department (faculty of 12) and a Senior Lecturer at Applied Engineering College in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, run by Lincoln Colleges UK, and before that, I worked for GIZ, Germany, again in Saudi Arabia at Technical Trainers College; my duties included HR management, curricula development, strategic planning, and lectures in various ICT subjects. Moreover, I have participated successfully as a proposal writer and senior researcher in numerous European-funded scientific projects (Horizon 2020/Europe), with several publications in world-class journals and magazines. Academically, I hold a PhD in Internet of Things (IoT).
