Gholam Reza Soori

I’ve been in the oil and gas industry for more than 2 decades and have completed many courses in well logging, drilling plan & operations, well design, well control, drilling fluids & hydraulic simulation. I’ve been in various designations such as drilling engineer, drilling fluids (DF) Engineer, ops coordinator, ops mgr tech mgr, global technical mgr, and manager of Research and Development center. In 2000, I started working in the oil & gas industry and began my career in drilling operations. I was in the logging department before I started working as a drilling engineer in a geothermal drilling campaign. Afterwards, I began working with MI, a Schlumberger Co., as field engineer. After 3 years, I was employed by Baker as field supervisor. I worked with Baker for approximately 3 years before joining Scomi Oiltools based in the Middle East for 5 years (2007-12). I’ve been working with Scomi, HQ office in Malaysia since Aug-12, and as manager of the Global RnD Centre since 2017.
