My tasks spread throughout the design process, from the new product request coming from marketing/sales until the product release. As the different concepts mature and the team agrees on the economical feasibility of the project, prototypes are generated and after some iterations new reliable products are born. I enjoy the interdepartmental interactions that occur in the process just mentioned, for instance, teaming up with purchasing to optimize the supply chain of handing off the new design to production.
