Structral and compositional characterizations of 3D-doping by ion beam analysis

The quantification of the dopants implanted into the FinFET–like nanostructures represents a big challenge for the nanotechnology industry. For the sake of solving this key problem, I wrote 3D Python codes to develop a new method of quantifying the dopants located in each part of such nanostructures, by correlating three state–of–the–art experimental techniques: Medium Energy Ion Scattering (MEIS), Synchrotron x-ray and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) analyses.

Magneto-optical properties of dichalcogenide compounds

Topological insulators are new quantum phase of matter that are gaped within their bulk and gap-less at their surface. They display band inversions at the Fermi surface due to their strong spin orbit coupling. The internship was based on the study of TiSe2 with μ-Raman spectroscopy. I found the transition temperature (TCDW) with no effect of the magnetic field from 0-14 Tesla.

Charaterization by Raman spectroscopy of single layers graphene grown by CVD

I probed the high temperature limits of graphene grown by Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) on Si/SiO2 and glass substrates, by using Raman spectroscopy. We found its melting temperature above 950°C.
