Translating and proofreading a variety of texts, mainly product descriptions / instructions manuals.

Representing fellow students on how the Student Union should be run, encouraging debates and ideas, making speeches in meetings, explaining possible changes and polling students on social forums.

Translating and proofreading a number of texts ranging from legal to advertisement to instruction manuals, transcribing dictations, Aligning translations.

Teaching and aiding in English classes in a German Secondary School with children aged between 10 and 18. I began as an assistant, tending to small groups of students and focusing on their individual needs. I then progressed to researching and carrying out my own interactive lessons on subjects ranging from politics to culture, and organised language orientated games in order to encourage the participation of all students.

As social secretary it was my job to organise and promote a variety of informal events in order to give members a chance to get to know each other and feel welcome and involved within the society. This involved events such as coffee mornings, themed nights out, a 3 day trip to Munich, a Christmas and end of year party with students and departmental staff, a football tournament and an end of year ball.
