Managed and led a team of GL accountants, oversaw all MECs and reporting according to IFRS (leveraging SAP, FCRS and APMR), coordinated with stakeholders (heads of finance, BPAs, C&R team, treasury, supply chain, logistics, compliance, internal audit, MD, PwC, EY, Deloitte, KPMG, tax back international, local authorities), drove accounts’ reconciliations, managed fiscal requirements, i.e. VAT, promoted internal controls in line with SOX 404, ran tax, compliance and audit reporting, acted as SAP super user.

Provided accounting, financial and tax reporting services to medical devices client, coordinated MEC of 8 legal entities with internal business partners (FP&A, Payroll, VAT, Legal, US Corporate Accounting, US Tax, US Treasury, SSC Costa Rica) and diverse group of external consultants (tax advisers, auditors, lawyers), run TP and Tax provisions, deferred revenue, filed statutory accounts and tax returns, managed financial and tax audits, monitored work performed by others, reconciled local GAAPs to US GAAP.

Provided accounting, financial and tax reporting services to a large multinational pharmaceutical client, drove integration of 13 newly acquired legal entities in CH, CZ and HU into corporate, organised handovers both incoming from businesses sellers and accounting services providers as well as outgoing to Deloitte, led entity shutdown, supported corporate income tax filings in CH, evaluated/transformed one dimensional accounts from legacy systems into complex, multi-dimensional, corporate HFM environment.

Provided oversight of financial and accounting operations and vendor disbursement cycles in France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Canada and Australia. Authorised tax filings and payments, delivered month end close for 15 reporting entities, and supervised statutory and taxation reporting, including auditors and lawyers management. Established general ledger and fixed assets registers across International organisation as part of Oracle ERP implementation project.

Reported to Senior Financial Manager and managed several projects, especially production lines transfers to other sites; Implemented Internal Controls with regard to equipment transfer and disposal; Led cross-functional teams including ME, MNT, EHS, RA, QA, LOG, R&D, FIN; Organised and coordinated work of virtual teams containing internal Abbott sites in various locations and third party providers; Chaired project meetings and presented to steering committee.

Reported to Bus. Mgr. Europe and M.E. and managed two financial analysts; Performed Month End close activities, including accounts analysis and evaluating results against forecasts & budgets; Reviewed Air Traffic Tax, liaised with an external vendor, and approved VAT filings; Authorised invoices, following a reconciliation of rates with contracts and tables of rates and tariffs; Oversaw payroll and employee benefit cycles for 50 colleagues and directed payroll vendors.

Reported to Director of Finance with responsibility for coordinating all financial and performance reporting to senior management - including Board level - with specific task of reviewing, challenging and delivering; Owned and managed financial reporting timetable, ensuring its completeness and accuracy and that PDX finance team delivered accordingly; Collated inputs from 5 lines of business and 8 departments, producing business models for the group, including scenarios, to highlight the cash position.

Controlled inventory around the world with 4,000 stock keeping units and yearly throughput of 1,000m$; Managed wall to walls in 7 locations in Europe and Asia; Analysed and reported on logistics spend with a budget of 80m$, prepared projections and forecasts; Partook in launch of cross dock operation in the Netherlands and closure of operations in Belgium and France; Supervised performance of outsourced accounting functions (GL, IC, AP); Developed inventory related policies and procedures.

Reported to FC and assisted with end-to-end finance function management of the remarketing and short-term rental branch of HPFS with operations across EMEA region; Produced management and statutory US GAAP and local GAAP accounts; Analysed business performance at product line level and generated segment reports (short-term rental, asset recovery, pre-owned & end of lease); Examined sales and margins against budget, forecast and prior periods at entity and resource level, explaining variances.

Acted as accountant for supplies branch and core German business, worked in team of 10 responsible for 20 entities across Europe; Consolidated accounts of entire business (600m$) and controlled 1 entity (50m$); Owned all profit and loss and balance sheet accounts and prepared reconciliations; Performed month end close in line with US GAAP and local GAAP, produced diverse reporting schedules; Wrote documentation for SOX certification, mapped processes and procedures; Trained and supervised AP accountants.
