Project: As a part of my Doctoral thesis I was involved in identification and characterization of the three novel proteins with putative role in chloroplast development using Arabidopsis mutant lines in Laboratory of Prof. AG. Soll.

I worked on project to identify the role of RalGEFs in adhesion dependent activation of RalA and Anchorage Independent Growth. Performed Real time PCR to check the levels of RalGEFs in twelve different Human cancer cell lines and check the effects of GEF knockdowns on Ral activation in these cell lines in the laboratory of Dr. Nagaraj Balasubramanian.

Worked on Phospho-Caveolin1 and its role in cancer progression in the laboratory of Dr. Nagaraj Balasubramanian, initially as a part of Masters thesis and then as a project student.

Worked with Drosophila as a model organism to study methods like embryo fixation, larva dissection (nervous system), dissecting out eye imaginal disc from third instar larva, virgin collection, setting up a cross, staining of the dissected larvae etc. with Dr. Anuradha Ratnaparkhi.

Worked on extracellular synthesis of gold nano-particles by tropical marine yeast Yarrowia lipolytica 3589 as a part of my bachelors thesis for 10 months. I also continued the project further voluntarily . Here in a tropical marine yeast Yarrowia lipolytica NCMI 3589 was used to synthesize extracellular gold nano-particles and the molecular basis for the synthesis of nano-particles was studied in the laboratory Dr. Smita Zinjarde.
