African Solar Rise is a non-profit organization sponsored by the German Business Foundation in partnership with the University of St. Gallen's program of Strategy and International Management. ASR was founded in 2010 with the intent to bring sustainable and renewable energy to developing communities in Africa, particularly Tanzania. Our goal is to inspire business and economic growth by providing African communities with access to dependable and environmentally friendly electricity resources.

Business Division working directly with the Allianz holding board member responsible for insurance in Europe, South America and Africa. Countries covered by the Business Division are Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Greece, Turkey, Brazil, Colombia and Argentina. The team's responsibilities include strategy developlment, business planning, corporate governance, incentive setting and ensuring regional cooperation between local entities.
