Martin Dekhili

As investigator at Deutsche Bank AFC-Department I am responsible for the daily tasks of the operational business. The financial sector was new to me but I quickly learned the ropes. Glad to gain insight in the structures of one of the world's leading financial institutes.

For the first time I was given a project on my own. Admittedly I did not develop the concept and it was merely an interim position but in a short time I organized quite a few events throughout Egypt (Cairo, Alexandria, Aswan) and even one conference in Amman, Jordan.

As Cultural Manager I was putting the mission of the Geothe-Insititut into practice. That means presenting German culture abroad. Curating and organizing various formats was challenge since every event was different and asked for new solutions. Working in Egypt made my dream of an Expat experience come true.

As customer service agent at Lufthansa I was in direct contact with clients from all over the world. The pacing was fast and I learned to quickly identify customer needs and satisfy them as good as possible. The demanded high concentration, flexibility and dedication. I'm proud an article of mine was released in the internal employee magazine and pitched an business idea to the local Management that was in turn put into practice.

During my vocational training I managing the office of Berlin Chocolate Wall. As a young start-up designing souvenirs and sweets I got inside into pretty much all areas. I took care of existing customers, visited them and showed them new products. My main job was managing the office but when I was needed I also helped out in the companies warehouse. More than glad to have picked up the hands-on mentality of the company during my apprenticeship.

This distant learning course continues my training as foreign language secretary. I gained insight in topics such as international business, business ethics or business communication and many more. I am proud to have gained a Bachelor Degree at a British University.
