Responsible for the Transformation Roadmap focused on operational excellence and innovation. We’re using Multi-Functional Teams and I’m leading the transition to paperless production and also the digitalization of our shop-floor management. The challenges of Industry 4.0 include a multitude of buzzwords and a lot of hype. A major challenge we face and, with which I’m dealing, is cutting through that hype.
Responsible for perennial investment projects, mostly in PPE, beginning with the preparation of tender specifications until the initial commissioning. Evaluation of different investment alternatives in close collaboration with internal departments as well as alignment with stakeholders and clients. Deriving and judging of business cases and preparation of decision memorandums for the CapEx MFT, Board of Directors and Shareholder Committee, including recommendations for action.
“Contract owner” for Airbus programs (A380-Tubes and Ducts & A321-Inboard Flap), responsible for all commercial aspects and superior project management. Single Point of Contact regarding contract conditions and negotiations, prices and claims. Offer team coordination for new product offerings and product modifications.
Structural strength calculation of aircraft components using Finite-Element-Method (FEM) and hand calculation for the Airbus A350 and A400M, including weight and cost optimisation measures. Close collaboration with the Airbus A350XWB Wing development team, on site, at Airbus in Filton, UK and at PFW in Speyer, Germany. Development of Excel/VBA tools for automation of recurring analysis activities.
