Kurly-Murly is a Russian company that publishes children's literature. The company has just published the first three authorized Russian translations of Dr. Seuss titles in the US and Russia. A series called "Finger Puppet Theater" is currently in production. * building web application for children and parents to create and share customized versions of books

* Rebuilt (using Drupal) the web site and communication platform for the Urban Youth Collaborative, a coalition of high school youth organizations dedicated to improving services and conditions for New York City public school students. * Develop and deployed tools to allow youth to communicate and collaborate more rapidly and effectively, via web, text message and email interfaces.

* Engaged to adapt an existing Java-based (ATG Dynamo) large scale web application to Drupal. * Re-implemented an old JSP-based web site, updating it to use a modern JEE stack, incorporating the use of Hibernate and Spring. Developed proximity search mechanism. Developed complex front-end Javascript (Ajax) components to interact with (back-end) proximity search mechanism and with Google mapping API. Developed and enforced coding standards for back-end Java work and page-level code.

* Designed proprietary XML-based language for building complex software robots (bots). * Built a very large hierarchy of XML Schemas using several different interacting XML namespaces. * Constructed a very large library of transformations using XSLT. * Constructed a variety of tools, using Python, Java, and some C, for extracting lexicographic information from a wide variety of sources, and created a very large lexicographic database, in a proprietary format. * Implemented functioning prototypes.

* Assumed role as lead developer of reference implementation “Program D”, still widely used worldwide. * Wrote formal technical specification for AIML (Artificial Intelligence Markup Language). * Developed official XML Schema representation of AIML. * Formed and served on Architecture Committee, Pattern Language Committee, Schema Committee.

* Conceived and designed several core technologies. * Wrote functional and design specifications. * Oversaw development teams for five products/technologies, and coordinated development process for 300-person shop involving approximately 15 projects and as many project/product managers dispersed throughout four countries. * Prepared and delivered presentations to high profile clients, partners and prospects worldwide.

* Developed Lotus Notes based application for IS&T knowledge base management. * Developed best practices for improving retention and re-use of support-critical knowledge and expertise throughout the enterprise.
