Dr. Oliver Hanka

As Head of the Cyber Security department my responsibilities are to define and execute its strategy. This includes leadership of employees, intake and revenue responsibility, defining the portfolio with a focus on Embedded- and Enterprise/OT-Security, accompanying selected projects as well as having an active role in customer acquisition. Additionally, I am the acting Head of Development who’s task is the supervision of any product and service development with regard to Cyber Security and Data Analytics.

My responsibilities in this role included to establish the cyber security capabilities within ESG by driving technology, research as well as onboarding colleagues. The focus was on Cyber Security for embedded- and corresponding backend systems (namely in the automotive and defence domain).

I worked in the field of safety critical on-board communication networks. In this position I led the security group responsible for the overall security architecture as well as future communication infrastructures. The work ranged from application/network protocol level down to aspects of embedded development. Active member of the ARINC Network Infrastructure and Security (NIS) Standardization Group Active member of the BSI working group "Sichere Software"
