Working in pre-RM, roadmapping, concepting and Innovation Management. Content pretty much same as below with increased new technology introduction and Solution aspect.

Working in BG Sourcing/Live Category covering the whole Nokia handset porfolio concepting and roadmapping phases until project initiation. Took care of company level Visual mechanics and mechanical components for all units. Tasks included close cooperation with ID/CMD together with SLM, TP and Technology Management and OL to find optimum balance between technology, materials, look&feel, risk taking (new innovation), cost, availability and quality.

Started first as a Mechanical Sourcing Manager, but moved to Sourcing Site manager position end of 2003. Nokia Ulm phased a significant growth during my time in Ulm and number of employees in Sourcing grew from 7 to 26 people during my time n Ulm. Essential part of the work was to bring these new people up to speed and thus enable huge groth in number of products, but also enable huge volume growth. People management skills, right combination of softness and hardness made this success possible.

In the beginning I was responsible for BTS WCDMA Realibility in all WCDMA BTS related projects. During that time I had 30 people working in Oulu, Espoo, Kista, Yokosuka/Tokio working in my group in various projects. Last year I was working in customer interface taking care of reliability. Because reliability (mainly MTBF) was essential part of Contracts between Nokia and Operators, and they almost always included penalty clauses, I got used to tough negotiations.

Lead the development group inside Sourcing. Group was carrying out several global sourcing related projects from EDI implementation to complicated IT system projects in Sourcing area. Procees development activities was also big part of job.

Worked in Rautaruukki Stahl Service GmbH in Duisburg as Development Engineer. Task included from making and physical programming of custom made programs (Quality handling system for Rautaruukki GmbH, Cost Calculation program for Sales using activity based costing model etc.). At the same time I also made my master thesis there.
