Involved in the development of steam turbine components, mainly the rotor and turbine casings along with valve internals. Responsible for studying product specification, estimating possible causes of failure, deciding the load cases to be assessed, calculating the loads acting during various phases of power cycle and assessing the component using FEA or analytical calculations. All the components are assessed for entire power cycle (start-up, baseload state, low load states and shutdown).
