Dr. Ralf Piotrowiak

I have worked for BAYER Animal Health in the Science Intelligence and Technology Scouting field for over 5 years, where I established a database of potential partners and conducted numerous technology analyses. Since February 2022, I have been exclusively dedicated to serving as a technology scout for the Center for Pandemic Vaccines and Therapeutics (CEPAI) at the Paul-Ehrlich Institute, an agency under the German Federal Ministry of Health. At CEPAI, I established the Technology Scouting department for pandemic preparedness, created a database of potential partners, and globally documented and assessed new technologies relevant for vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostics in the event of a new pandemic. A technology roadmap for innovations was developed and in-depth analyses of relevant new technologies, such as self-amplifying RNA platforms, were conducted. My contract at CEPAI is scheduled to end in May 2024. I prefer to work remotely as freelancer.
