Operational security consulting in global IT programs and projects. Develop and maintain the IT security architecture and roadmap for Head office. Plan, research and design robust security solutions for key technology services. Perform architectural review of new and existing services to establish Security by Design. Conduct Threat Modeling exercises using STRIDE methodology.

Working for Azercell for a long time, I was able to play multiple and progressive roles which led to my appointment as Information Security Manager. I pioneered business and IT strategies aimed to improve the security posture, which resulted to the guaranteed protection of over 4.5 million customers. I also formed the Security Operations Center (SOC) which systematically organized IT and network security controls, and advanced encryption technologies to ensure confidentiality and integrity of data.

I ventured on a consultancy business where I offered both direct and remote IT/security services and solutions. Among my most notable accomplishments were being tapped to serve as IT/Security Consultant at the 1st European Olympic Games and as an SME at Baku 2015 European Games. On the side, I provided offshore management of a team of engineers developing Games Portal under managed services, and deployed and sustained high availability applications on Amazon AWS EC2 and Microsoft Azure Clouds.

My responsibilities were not solely limited to a Software Development Manager. I wore many hats. I was also Product Manager, and Business Developer for cash payments products. That being said, I directed the coordination of all stages of product management. I successfully completed cash payment automation projects in two local banks, and deployed over 250 cash-in kiosks in notary offices and road police departments across the country.

I was given the privilege to ideate and collaborate with an equally-competent team of software developers, billing team members, and vendors in driving solutions-led technical vision to address business challenges. I was charged to ensure that the strategic portfolio, consisting of the vision and product roadmaps, was aligned and well-articulated both externally with customers, prospects, and partners, as well as internally within the team.
