Saikrishna Devarashetty

I am studying electrical engineering with a focus on embedded systems at the University of Applied Sciences Ravensburg-Weingarten, Germany and am currently working on my master thesis with the topic "MATLAB as CO simulation platform for models with standardized FMI" at Volkswagen AG, Germany. As part of my master’s thesis, which I will complete in November 2018, I examine the suitability of MATLAB as a co-simulation platform for FMI / FMU.

I did a 5-month internship in the Diesel Engine Function Development department of Volkswagen AG, where I programmed an interface (a .dll) for integrating a C code within a C ++ application. Another focus of the internship was the development of a Java GUI for updating file contents.

I worked as a Model-based Software Developer in India in the Powertrain Department, where I developed Simulink and Stateflow models for different functionalities in the internal combustion engine. Apart from this, my job included automatic code generation from Simulink models through TargetLink tool for different ICE functions and Manual Embedded C code development for ESP functions such as traction control, air flow management and performing MIL and SIL tests for the Simulink models and C code.
