Project: CONSTRUCTION OF AN INDUCTION WELDING MACHINE FOR WELDING OF POLYMERIC MATRIX COMPOSITES I am responsible for 2 undergraduate students. Assistance in the organization of the group, acquisition of material, classes and whatever is necessary for the project.

Project: Development and quality improvement design of pultruded component and inspection requirements. The project was a partnership between Petrobrás and IPT. I was responsible for to work in the pultrusion machine, to help in the development of formulations for resins, to enter in contact with the partnership companies, to purchase all the itens necessaries to the project, to do thermal analysis and analyze the results from the mechanical tests.

Project: DEVELOPMENT OF COMPOSITE MATERIALS SHIELDED FOR MILITARY VEHICLES. I was responsible, beyond to the project, to take care of the mechanical test laboratory, to organize the research group, to purchase all the itens necessary to the research and to teach at University.

Composite Materials – teaching theoretical classes

Thesis: STUDY OF THE WELDING PROCESS FOR THE INTEGRATION OF PEEK/CARBON FIBER COMPOSITES FOR AERONAUTICAL APPLICATIONS Beyond to the project, I was responsible for the environmental conditioning laboratory and do the tests, to teach at University, to help to organize the research group, to participate in organizing committee for congress, to purchase all the itens necessary to the project and to be an advisor for the Scientific Initiation students.

At IVW I worked with induction welding for polymeric composites to compare with resistance welding process for the same material. I developed my own specific test specimens by implementing thermocouples into laminates to understand the way of heat generation and the process differences for resistance welding. Beyond that, I found the parameters through DOE (Design of experiments) and welded many samples to do mechanical, thermal and environmental conditioning tests.

Composite Processing – teaching practical classes

I performed consultancy in the area of environmental conditioning for composite materials. In addition to performing the tests, reports were issued with the results obtained from the tests performed on the samples.
