Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research (NIBIO)
1 Jahr und 1 Monat, Dez. 2020 - Dez. 2021
Postdoctoral Researcher
National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO)
In my current position, I study the influence of climate factors and soil mineralogy on carbon storage in tropical and temperate croplands under the supervision of Dr. Rota Wagai.
3 Jahre und 7 Monate, Sep. 2016 - März 2020
PhD Candidate
Technical University of Munich
I coordinated a research project focused in understanding C stabilization in soils through organo-mineral associations. I made use of state-of-art spectroscopy and microscopy techniques. I worked together with a multidisciplinary group of researches from different countries and institutions. The results of this research were published in recognized journals in soil science and presented in several scientific conferences around the world.
5 Monate, Nov. 2017 - März 2018
Visiting researcher
Cornell University
I worked as a Visiting Research Scholar in the department of Soil and Crop Sciences. I developed part of my Ph.D. research working on isotope labeling (13C and 15N) and synchrotron-based techniques (XANES/NEXAFS)
2 Jahre, Aug. 2015 - Juli 2017
Freelancer
Agropro
I worked as a collaborator for Agropro, a technology company dedicated to the development of solutions for agribusiness. I worked focused on online courses about the no-tillage system in tropical and subtropical regions.
2 Jahre, Apr. 2014 - März 2016
Graduate Research Assistant
Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa
During my master's degree, I studied the use of lime and gypsum as a strategy to provide carbon sequestration in agriculture advised by Prof. João Carlos de Moraes Sá and Prof. Eduardo F. Caires. During this period, I also worked as a teaching assistant performing lectures in Soil Fertility and advising undergraduate students with their research projects. I could acquire good expertise in soil fertility analysis (nutrient determinations, crop yield evaluations), and soil organic matter fractionation.
6 Monate, März 2013 - Aug. 2013
Research Intern
The Ohio State University
As part of my international mobility program, I worked as a summer intern at OARDC advised by Prof. Warren Dick. During this period, I had the opportunity to work in different research projects focused mainly on greenhouse gas emissions and soil enzyme analysis. At the end of the program, I performed an oral presentation at an undergraduate research conference.
10 Monate, Aug. 2012 - Mai 2013
Non-degree Student
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
I was selected to participate of an international scientific mobility program from the Brazilian Government called “Science without Borders”. In this program, I attended two semesters of classes at the UIUC (Fall 2012, Spring 2013) in the major of Crop Sciences as a non-degree student. I had the opportunity to know different aspects of agriculture in the USA focused on grain and horticultural production.
3 Jahre, Aug. 2009 - Juli 2012
Undergraduate research assistant
Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa
During my bachelor degree, I worked as a research assistant (i.e., Scientific Initiation Fellowship) advised by Prof. João Carlos de Moraes Sá. I participated in different research projects in the area of land use and management in tropical and subtropical agriculture. During this period, I acquired a good experience in laboratory analysis and field sampling. I also performed several oral and poster presentations at conferences.
