Research assistant and lecturer for the education of high school teachers in Spanish and French. My research relates language-specific studies from the area of Romance languages to general questions of cognition and the origin of language.

As an Intern in a publishing firm, specialized in medical publications, I had the opportunity to gain insights into all the steps that are necessary during the editing and final publication of scientific writings. My work contained tasks of technical editing, correspondants with the authors, report writing and formulation of press releases, as well as journalistic activity on a medical conference held in Munich.

As a research interviewer it is my work to contact people and gather relevant information for market research and business consulting. The position is very dynamic, communication oriented and gives me opportunity to use language, social and communicative skills and strategies, along with modern data collection technology. The position helps me develop flexibility, organization, business to business communication and technology skills and team work on a daily basis.

During my activity as researcher and teacher in Guatemalan Universities, I worked as an independent columnist for "Diario Digital", digital issue of the print journal "Contra Poder". In this function, I wrote a series of 17 articles in Spanish on Guatemalan Culture, Language and Society to the means of making certain problems apparent as just another socio-cultural actant in public and media related life.

As a lecturer, I was part of the Centre for Linguistics in Cubulco, Baja Verapaz, Guatemala. This Centre of the University Mariano Gálvez with its headquarters in Guatemala-City is concerned with the education of the rural population, namely the indigenous Achí population. In this center I was responsible for all the matters related to the classes Lexicography and Semiotics, which I both taught. Additionally, activities around language conservation of minor languages were part of the occupation.

As a lecturer at Universidad Francisco Marroquín in both the Deparment of Education and the Institute of International Relations and Political Science, I was in charge of various classes, seminars and lectures, ranging from intense two-week-seminars up to full semester lecutres. To different times I was in charge of the following classes: General Linguistics, Phonetics and Phonology; Political Discourse Analysis and Academic Communication.

In the University Galileo in Guatemala City, I was responsable for various first year sections of the Superior School of Art. This course was about academical text production and dealt first of all with the teaching of Spanish grammar and ortography for native Spanish speakers. The main goal was to systemize the knowledge of the students and familiarize them with different formats of academic writing for their further studies.

As a Lecturer for Semiotics in Casa Comal I was in charge of the planning, teaching and evaluation of a course applied to cinematography. The subject covered the application of classical theory in semiotics to the field of cinematography, in order to familiarize students with both theoretical and practical concepts in semiotics and their transposition to cinematographic craftsmanship with regards to photography, dialogue, sound, authory. and interpretation of the arrangement of these semiotic elements.

As a French Teacher I was involved in the planning, executing and evaluation of classes in French language, given at all levels (A1 - C1) and to adolecents as well as to adults. During this time I could develop paedagogical skills and organization skills, as well as skills in the theory and practise of the composition of evaluations and exams. I also had the chance to attend to teaching seminars, held for the teaching staff in order to keep developing our capacities.
