Ing. Tomáš Chlápek

In Cleevio I started as an Android Tech Lead. My other goals besides programming are consulting new apps and features from the technical side with clients, research of new technologies and solutions, mentoring junior developers, making interviews and representing products on IT conferences. After a couple months, I relocated to the remote office in Barcelona. From there I started to work on a project for the biggest Czech car-sharing company, HoppyGo (ex SmileCar) owned by Škoda.

In the mobile department of Kiwi.com (ex-company Trinerdis s.r.o) I was as a Senior Android developer in charge of design and development of new features, fixing major bugs and publishing on the app store. I was also mentoring Junior developers on our team. Together with others in our team, I migrated to new technologies as RxJava, Dagger2, Realm, data binding or automatized Unit and UI tests.

In LWi I was working on an Android version of the most popular mobile town and region guide in the Czech Republic. We upgraded each guide to a self-standing product called Effortix. This app is easily customizable by a user through the web interface. Besides that, I designed and developed an application which uses known Android issues and weak points for user monitoring and data collecting.

As a co-founder and Android developer, I was working both on business and mobile development of applications and games for wearable mobile devices, such as watches and bracelets.

In cooperation with the IT department of Siemens I was working on my Master's thesis: Data visualization of C2X (Intelligent Transportation System). I created a protocol for communication between mobile device and car unit on my own and afterward designed and developed an app for real-time visualization of crossroads and traffic.
