My PhD project was focused on the functional, biochemical and structural characterisation of proteins building the motility organelle of the thermoacidophilic crenarchaeon Sulfolobus acidocaldarius. Responsibilities: - Project management - Supervision of Bachelor, Master students and interns - Implementation of internal and external collaborations - Preparation of reports, manuscripts and Power-Point presentations - Experimental design and performance

During my master project I performed systematic analysis of the Archaellum (formal archaeal flagellum) of Sulfolobus acidocaldarius.

Participation in the research project: “Chromosome segregation in Streptomyces and Mycobacterium" Main tasks: - Microbiology - Standard molecular biological methods (PCR, cloning) - Expression and purification of recombinant proteins in E.coli - Basic protein characterization methods (electrophoresis, Western Blotting) - Protein-protein interaction studies (Bacterial Two-Hybride System, pull-down analysis)
