OMDEC Bussiness DEvelopment in UK and Ireland

Self employed on various projects including: – Market Development in UK and Ireland for: • iisy - A German company specialising in knowledge management solutions and guided diagnostics; and • OMDEC - A Canadian company specialising in the optimisation of maintenance decisions in large corporate customers who have many assets to manage. – Established, staffed and managed, for a third party, a company marketing overseas property. – Recruited a sales force for overseas company in telesales sector.

This company supplies back office software systems for the small to medium user in the construction industry in UK and ROI.

IMS develops software for the Healthcare sector specialising in systems for the healthcare professional in Ireland and UK. Responsible for all sales, implementation and support of all IMS business in Ireland.

A software solutions company based in USA, specialising in the development and implementation of systems in the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Sector). I established Revere in the EMEA market, primarily using US based resources.The office was based in Dublin, containing one person in admin and myself. Concluded deals with Royal Dutch Shell, UPM Kymmene (Finland), PVO (Finland). Taken over by Walker in 1998.

Based in Ireland and UK, AMT/Sybex provides products (CMMS, supply chain and mobile) and associated services to the Utilities sector (mainly power transmission and distribution, transport) in the UK. This business currently has revenues in excess of £40 million sterling and employs over 200 staff. I was responsible for the Irish organisation which has offices in Dublin and Belfast, sales and support of hardware and software development and services.

This publicly quoted company traded both in Ireland and UK. I relocated to the UK in 1988. Memory focused on business solutions (hardware and software) for manufacturing and general accounting and employed approx 250 people.

Various roles in computer application development & support (primarily mainframe) during 70’s, including technical and presales support for mini and supermini computers through to Irish sales management for various business solutions during 80’s, including Prime Computer in Ireland.
