Inventory Control Manager

I was employed as the Warehouse Manager at Tesco Corporation in Calgary Alberta Canada. I was responsible for the daily needs of a busy production environment that supplies top drives to the oil field as well as parts to the various business units in 30 countries. I had a 45 person employee base with 3 lead hands and two full time supervisors that report directly to me, I report to the VP of Supply Chain in Houston Texas.

Develop solutions that leverage the Company' s volumes, systems and partnerships while providing consistently high levels of customer service in a cost-effective manner. .Identified and prioritizes logistics needs and communicated recommendations to upper management in order to achieve efficient product distribution.

I was the Senior Distribution Supervisor for a unionized fresh food distribution center in Langley British Columbia with an employee base of 30 full time employees. I supervisored all aspects of the day to day functions including inventory management and all receiving and shipping. I received an company award for bringing a labor cost savings of 110,000 over 10 months through implementation of a metric system.

I was the senior Distribution Supervisor in Calgary at Martin Brower and the acting Warehouse manager, I was asked to go to Vancouver and be the warehouse Manager for the Distribution Center as they had to fill the Vacant position. I assumed the role of Distribution Manager for 6 months in Vancouver BC.

I was responsible for the day to day operations of a busy expedited ltl transportation company including dock operations , line haul , and city dispatch • . My employee base ranged from 10 full time employees to 20 + temp employees depending on the freight flow. • We received and distributed all the retail freight for The Gap , Reitman's , and Old Navy for western Canada.

I was responsible for the day to day operation of a busy ltl cross-dock facility that facilitated both l t l freight and rail freight. I had a 30 man employee base and 10 drivers that reported directly to me. I set up and monitored a cross dock environment and oversaw the distribution of freight to various customers based on volume and appointment requirements.
