Dr. Wolfram Erhardt

Lead finance team, project finance, liaise with global finance institutions, commercial banks, and major export credit agencies. Procedures and systems incl. SAP FI/CO, budgeting, accounting, treasury, controlling, operational reporting, applications for EU funds, and tax/insurance optimization. Instrumental role in alignment of interests for public and private shareholders, negotiation with 3 global finance institutions, and negotiations on required changes of law with ministries and fiscal authorities.

General management role, staff supervision, project portfolio management (financial sector, municipal infrastructure, energy), dealings with development institutions incl. European Commission Delegation to Turkey and World Bank. Representation at international conferences. Integral role in interactions with Turkish ministries, municipalities, public and private banks, German ministries, and the German Embassy. Implementation of projects on behalf of the European Commission and European development banks.

Lead role in private export and project finance division, acquisition and development of renewable energy projects and export financing transactions, and management of stakeholders including local funding providers in Taiwan, the German export credit agency, wind turbine suppliers, and transaction sponsors. Critical role in financing of Asia’s largest wind farm project in Taiwan that earned a Euromoney London nomination for 2005 Deal of the Year - Asia Pacific, Renewables.

Directed projects within the official German financial cooperation with Southeast Europe, equity participation and SME refinancing line structuring for Greenfield microfinance institutions and existing commercial banks, and bank representation in the EU-sponsored Southeast Europe Regional Energy Market Initiative. Major role in rehabilitation of thermal and hydro power stations. Mobilised technical cooperation donor funds, managed consultancy assignments in areas of financial sector development and energy.

Led field research project on small enterprise finance in rural and urban Northern Thailand in cooperation with Chiangmai University, Thailand.
