Developmental/Evolutionary Biologist, conducting research to study development of stinging cell(‘Nematocysts’) in Hydra by analysis of morphological patterns during different developmental stages with the help of advanced imaging tools, Microscopy and wet lab techniques.

Gained experience clean room, Fabrication of microfluidic chips through soft lithography, production of hydrogel beads through droplet microfluidics, Real Time deformability Cytometry.

To study the contractile nature in detail and find out the reason behind its mechanics. Also, we would like to study the cortical flows and the pseudo cleavage due to series of contractions mainly due to actin cytoskeleton and cytoplasmic flows. We would also explore genetics in C. Elegans since it has complete genetic sequence and therefore serves as good model organism to do eukaryotic genetic studies.

A short term Lab project on "Investigation of the novel conductive continuous phase in droplet microfluidics".

Short term project on "Roles of somatic cells contractility in Caenorhabditis elegans germline cytoplasmic streaming".

Worked on Synthetic biology tools in order to analyse RNA-lipid interactions. Worked on synthesis of membranes by lipids or fatty acids and analysing their stability at various conditions such as differnt pH , temperature, Salt concentration in order to find the most optimum conditions. Finally, the binding assay experiments were done in order to study the interaction of these membranes with RNA.
